THE OUTBACK WAY
The Outback Way is one of Australia’s great odysseys. Known as ‘Australia’s Longest Shortcut’, the route runs from Laverton, Western Australia to Winton in Queensland. The Outback Way crosses central Australia and is fast becoming one of the must-see and must do drive routes coast to coast. Permits required.
NORSEMAN HERITAGE TRAIL
The Dundas Coach Road Heritage Trail is an historic and fascinating loop trail, spread over 50km around Norseman. The trail features 10 key places of interest and each site features fascinating interpretive stories that help build a picture of life in the early years along the Coach Road.
GUNBARREL HIGHWAY
Set off on the Gunbarrel Highway and experience one of Australia’s most famous and challenging 4WD tracks. Built by surveyor Len Beadell, this 1,400km outback adventure is perfect for the confident 4WD enthusiast. Remote, experienced and well prepared 4WD only. Recommend travel with another vehicle. Permits required.
ANNE BEADELL
The Anne Beadell Highway is an awe-inspiring route that passes through extremely remote desert areas. Stretching 1,350km from Laverton in the Northern Goldfields region, through to Coober Pedy in South Australia this is a remote trail for experienced and well prepared 4WDers. Recommend travel with another vehicle. Permits are essential.
